Welcome to Dermatology and Allergy Specialists of Olympia

We opened our doors on July 1st, 2001. Our practice was founded by Drs. Mark Bauer, Sukanya Kanthawatana and Shauna Richert following the close of Memorial Clinic where they were practicing physicians. Jennifer Winter, PA-C joined us from Memorial Clinic with our founders as well.

As the demand for our services have grown, and to ensure high-quality services, we have added additional practitioners to our office. Sarra Vashchenko, PA-C joined our practice in 2004. In July 2009, we were fortunate to have Dr. Jake Bauer join us, which added a much-needed service, Mohs Micrographic Surgery, to our local community. In 2016, Dr. Linda Brown joined us after 25 years of distinguished service in the US Army Medical Corps. She served for 10 years as chief of the Allergy and Immunology department at Madigan Army Medical Center before retiring at the rank of Colonel. In 2018, Dr. Kaley Myer and Physician Assistant Dre Cigliola joined our dermatology practice.

Our main office and dermatology clinic are located just west of downtown Olympia at 304 West Bay Dr. NW, Suite 301. Our Mohs surgery office is on the 2nd floor of the same building (Suite 204).

Our allergy clinic is located on the other side of town (East side) two blocks north of St. Peter Hospital at 703 Lilly Road NE, Suite 103 (across from Kaiser Permanente).

Our physicians, Dr. Sukanya Kanthawatana, MD, PhD. and Dr. Linda Bown, MD, are board certified allergists who have been treating allergic and asthmatic patients in the Pacific Northwest for over a decade. Cosmetic Dermatology

She is a board certified dermatologist and is also a volunteer faculty at the Univ. of Washington. She is a native of the Pacific Northwest.

Dr. Kanthawatana is one of the founders of Dermatology & Allergy Specialists of Olympia. Dr. K, as she is affectionately called by her patients, has been practicing medicine for over 30 years. She has been helping patients in Olympia and surrounding communities since 1999.
