ALLERGY OFFICE’S RESPONSE  TO COVID-19

  • Patients, including allergy shot ones, will be screened for symptoms and risk factors of COVID-19 at the office entrance.

  • Routine appointments for patients considered high-risk for COVID-19 will not be made until mid to late April 2020. Such patients currently on the calendar may be asked to reschedule.

  • Patients for acute visit/sickness are directed to see their primary care providers first.

  • To help stem COVID-19’s spread, Dr. Brown is concentrating her work at the Providence’s urgent care center and will not be seeing patients in the Allergy office for the next 2-3 weeks.

  • We are limiting the number of people in the waiting room to eight (8)  (you can sit together with your caretaker/company and we’ll count you as one).  Please be at least 6 feet away from others.

  • Allergy shot and biologic (e.g., Xolair) patients can wait in the car in our parking lot after shots but need to return for arm check after 30 minutes.

  • Patients may have one caretaker or visitor for their appointment if needed. This person will be asked to remain in the waiting room during the appointment to help limit exposure.

  • Please do not bring young children, except as patients, along to appointments at this time.  If you do so, they may be asked to wait outside of the office (in your car).
